Querying a Database
Running a Query
Start the Query Manager application. The first window should display the version of Query Manager and a button.
Click the button to get to the main Query Manager dialog.
General Steps to Run a Query
The following are general instructions for running a query:
- The Watershed Database that you want to query should be displayed in the field. If the watershed that you want to query is not shown in the field, click the drop-down arrow to select one of the databases that is available in the directory. If you have databases that are located in another directory, select from the menu, which brings up the dialog. Navigate to the folder that contains the database and click the button. The Watershed name should show up in the field.
- Choose a Query Group from the field.
- Choose a Query from the field.
- Click the button. Make selections and decisions as needed to complete building the query. After clicking the button, Query Manager will display a single table of results to browse, map directly in MARPLOT or save to a spreadsheet for use in a GIS, spreadsheet software or statistical package.
