TOOLS
- Allows the user to view (or copy) information that describes the specific query. Information recorded in the autodoc.txt includes the time/date the query was run, the watershed dataset, data path to the dataset, Query Group, Query, and other user selections such as chemical, treatment of 'Below detection limit' samples, and selected options in the Tools menu. This file is automatically created (and updated) with each new query. Selecting this Tool option merely causes this information to display within Query Manager.
- Allows the user to select a previously created 'Station List'. Station lists can be used to easily subset a watershed's stations, perhaps by year of study, by type of data, etc.
To create a station list, we recommend that you build the "All Data Types: Station Locations by Study" query. Display these stations in MARPLOT by using Query Manager's "MARPLOT: Show All on Map" menu option. After the stations are displayed in MARPLOT, use the arrow-shaped tool to select stations to be included in the 'Station List' (drag a rectangle or use SHIFT+Click to select stations). You may be asked to select which layer you wish to select from. Next, use MARPLOT's "Sharing: Query Manager: Create Station Group" menu option to return to Query Manager. When you click on the displayed table, you will be allowed to save the station list. Leave the station list in the default directory ([dataset...]\_sList). Saved Station Lists are available from Query Manager's Tools: Station List..." menu option.
- Allows the user to create a complete Query Manager watershed dataset (data and maps). First, select a station list using the Tools: Station List... menu option. Next, select the Tools: Export Sub-Watershed... menu option, fill in the blanks, and click 'Finish'. The dataset will be created in the qm26win directory. See above for directions on creating a station list.
- Allows the user to output sediment core depth values in metric units.
- Allows the user to output sediment core depth values in English units.
- Excludes stations with coordinates (0,0) from the results tables. This is set as the default for display in MARPLOT since the (0,0) coordinates cause MARPLOT to zoom out to an extreme extent.
- Allows stations with coordinates (0,0) to be included in the results tables. (These stations are commonly the control samples.)
- Creates an additional results table for certain queries that are formatted for use in EPA's FIELDS program.
- Recreates the index files associated with the dataset. This is performed automatically with new datasets, but should be performed again if any of the dbf tables in the dataset have changed, or are replaced.
- Creates a text file that describes the format of the tables and the fields for a QM dataset.
- Displays this sub-section of this help file.
