MARPLOT Menus

The drop-down menus that are available in MARPLOT allow the user to set viewing defaults, display settings, interact with Query Manager queries and map and layer lists.

File - Allows you to set application preferences, print, save and import/export graphics.

Edit - Allows you to cut, copy, paste and draw basic shapes on the mapping canvas

View - Includes many tools to refine the display of the map, such as adding legends, adjusting scale, displaying the entire extent of selected layers and showing map references such as a scale bar.

List - Allows you to create, edit, remove or hide layers. Select the Layer List option to see the list of layers. Uncheck the layer in the ‘Show’ column to improve draw time.

Objects - Allows you to change the display properties of the currently selected objects.

Sharing – Menus for communication with Query Manager or other OR&R software.

Help - Includes a compiled Help document.MARPLOT Tools.

MARPLOT Tools

Select Arrow – Allows you to drag a rectangle to select data records. You can then select a data layer. (The selected objects appear with red corner tics.)

Pan Hand – Allows you to pan across the image using the mouse.

Zoom In / Zoom Out Magnifiers – Allows you to change the scale of the display.

Measuring Ruler – Allows you to measure the distance between locations on the display. This information appears in the lower left hand corner of the MARPLOT window and is displayed in terms of radius and true bearing.
